The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.Allis Care Center is now hiring a Director of Admissions and Marketing for their West Allis, WI location.

Previous long-term care experience is preferred.

This is an internal/external position at Allis that will involve going to hospitals for sales calls as well as working with actual referrals. SNF experience is required. Candidates can be LPN/RN/RT but this is not mandatory.

SUMMARY:Manages census development and admission and preadmission processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Oversees and manages census/admissions processes, including obtaining admissions, assisting with admission and discharge planning processes, meeting census objectives, and developing and maintaining the facility's reputation.

Develops and maintains a system for managing contacts with potential residents, including establishing a network of contacts, generating lead activity, and reporting on public relations and census matters to the Executive Director/designee.

Organizes and tailors census focus consistent with facility objectives, assessing unique census needs for the community and facility.

Maintains positive professional communication with outreach contacts, prospects, residents, staff members, and department managers.

Manages and organizes demographic information, maintaining current competitor demographics and reporting results of visits.

Implements facility education and outreach programs, developing relationships within the community and promoting the facility.

Ensures proper documentation is maintained, including timely completion of census development and other reports.

Assists with performance of quality assessment and assurance functions as directed.

Assists with development and updating of census policies and procedures to reflect facility philosophy, professional standards, and legal requirements.

Assists with survey processes as directed.

In an emergency, carries out assigned duties to assure resident and employee safety.

Maintains and applies current skills and knowledge through continuing education and in-service programs.

Carries out responsibilities in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and with facility philosophy, policies, and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of energy and enthusiasm. Ability to organize, document, and implement detailed programs. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to speak, understand, and read the English language to the extent necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

This position requires physical activities including standing, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds or more, bending, climbing, twisting upper body, walking, running, and exposure to medical equipment and persons with a risk of illness.
