Job Description Summary

The main function of the Web Developer is to design, code, and create system specifications, analyze, evaluate, test, debug, document, and implement complex software applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, document, implement, and maintain application programs and interfaces.
• Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
• Modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for system software applications.
• Monitor systems capacity and performance, plan and execute disaster recovery procedures, and provide technical support.
• Identify, escalate, and document production impact issues.
• Evaluate user requests for new or modified computer programs to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current systems and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field preferred.
• 5 years experience required.
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles.
• Knowledge of good UX design, REST API design, and product design.
• Expertise in the frontend space with JavaScript, React, Redux, RxJS and in the backend space with either C#, Node.js, Java, or Go.

Candidate Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: At least 5 overall years of experience in the field.
• Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree preferred, but no degree is required to be eligible for this role.
• Best vs. Average: Stability and reliability with experience building customer-facing products with a focus on user-friendly designs.
• Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on the ability to deliver work on time, clear communication of needs and progress, and self-sufficiency in completing tasks.
