Position Information
Job Title: Student Support Services – Assistant Video Lecture Editor

Job Location: Corvallis Campus (Remote work may be allowed during breaks)
Position Appointment Percent: 100%
Pay Method: Hourly
Pay Period: 16th - 15th of the following month
Min Hourly Rate: $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro)
Max Hourly Rate: $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro)
Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill 4 part-time (maximum of 24 hours per week during the school term and a maximum of 40 hours per week during term breaks) Assistant Video Lecture Editor positions for Ecampus at Oregon State University (OSU). The Assistant Video Lecture Editor edits and produces lecture videos for online students under the guidance of Ecampus Video and Lecture producers for OSU teaching faculty.
Position Duties
- 80% Editing: video and audio editing with Adobe Creative Cloud apps such as Premiere Pro, YouTube captioning, motion graphics, or on-screen titles
- 10% Office work: transcribing videos, file transfers, team communications, training
- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Additional Required Qualifications
- Works independently
- Availability to work over summers (possible remote option)
- Minimum required hours per term: 10 hours per week
- On campus students must work in person at the Ecampus office during the academic terms
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
- A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
- Audio or video editing experience
- Animation or motion graphics experience
