Job Description
Duties:
General job duties may include the development of procedures, standards, work instructions, training materials, and project documentation.
Work directly with subject matter experts, end users, and other staff members to understand the direction of the documentation.
Technical Writers apply technical writing methodology to draft and clarify information from fragmented raw data and facilitate the review and approval process for documents.
Must be able to meet deadlines, work on multiple documents at the same time, and apply document management processes.
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent technical research and organizational skills
A positive attitude and the ability to interact with a diverse audience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with using SharePoint and PowerApps is a plus
Bachelor degree in Technical Communication, Professional Writing, or Technical Writing or equivalent experience

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
