We are in search of a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic for our Blown Film division manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be responsible for managing all repair, maintenance, and improvement operations within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of blown film, polyethylene, extrusion, converting, electrical controls, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and preventive maintenance. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all maintenance operations for our blown film production lines, ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency.Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and lifespan.Troubleshoot and repair issues with electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to production.Coordinate with the production team to schedule maintenance and repairs to minimize impact on production.Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring availability of necessary materials for repairs and maintenance.Manage and train maintenance staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Collaborate with management to develop budgets for maintenance operations, and ensure operations stay within budget.Stay current with latest technologies and best practices in blown film manufacturing, and recommend improvements to processes and equipment.Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with blown film, polyethylene, extrusion, converting, electrical controls, and maintenance.Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and preventive maintenance.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations.
