Design Approval Administrator
The role of the Design Approval Administrator is to process requests for new designs and new logos. The Design Approval Administrator determines if designs and logos require licensor approval and, if so, submits such designs and logos to the applicable licensor for the required approvals. The Design Approval Administrator also determines if designs and logos may cause a potential brand equity or infringement issue and escalates such potential issues to the proper internal parties.
Responsibilities
Submit designs to licensors’ approval sitesOrganize and track progress of approvals of designsRecord status of all approvals to be accessed by all internal partiesAct as a liaison between New Era and its multiple licensors to follow up for responses, explain meaning of questioned designs, and appeal rejectionsMaintain electronic files of all approvalsCommunicate professionally with internal customers regarding approval processDraft and maintain SOPs for approval process for each licensorReview new logos and either move logos forward, request additional information or changes, or rejectRecommend and assist with procedural changes, as necessaryWork with licensors to keep style guides and guidelines up to date.Stay current with gang guidelinesEscalate potential brand equity or infringement issues to the internal Legal teamKeep all sensitive matters confidentialOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Behaviors
Excellent communication and organizational skillsGeneral knowledge of licensing and professional sports/leagues preferredEnthusiastic, positive person who embraces work with a sense of urgency and persistenceStrong computer skills, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookEducation and Experience
Zero (0) to One (1) year of experience working in an administrative position preferredAssociate’s or bachelor’s degree; Relevant job experience in lieu of degree will be consideredTravel Requirement

The salary range for this posted position is $44,000 - $47,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
