SUMMARY
This position reports to the U.S. Head of Sales and will operate cross functionally within the company as a member of the Sales & Marketing department. The Trade Promotion Manager will lead the retail channel annual trade promotion and sales planning process, while consistently analyzing trade spending to optimize ROI. This position, in partnership with Finance and Supply Chain, provides updates to the sales forecast by analyzing shipment and consumption trends as well as provides insights from the Sales and Customer teams. The Trade Promotion Manager is the primary liaison between the Sales Team and the rest of the organization on trade spending/promotions and sales forecasts.
JOB DESCRIPTION
TRADE PROMOTION MANAGEMENT AND SALES PLANNING
Leads the retail channel annual trade promotion and sales planning processConsistently analyzes trade spending to optimize ROI as well as contributes to the monthly accrual processManages the Retail channel trade spending budget under the guidance of the VP of Sales and U.S. Head of SalesPrimary resource for the Retail sales team in analysis and recommended adjustments to trade plansProvides ongoing guidance, review, and oversight to the trade deduction management processDevelops shipment or consumption tracking reports to aid in trade promotion review
SALES REPORTING, ANALYSIS, AND FORECASTING
Provides ongoing shipment analysis for the Retail channel and key customersIn partnership with Finance and Supply Chain, provides updates to the sales forecast by analyzing shipment and consumption trends as well as provides insights from the Sales and Customer teamsDevelops shipment or consumption tracking reports to aid in forecast adjustmentsCHANNEL DEVELOPMENT
Provides insights and analysis to develop trade plans for new channels of developmentCOLLABORATION WITH CROSS FUNCTIONAL TEAMS
Develops strong connections with Supply Chain, Finance, and MarketingPrimary liaison between the Sales Team and the rest of the organization on trade spending/promotions and sales forecasts
SKILLS REQUIRED
