Three years of full-time grant writing experience.
Advanced writing, editing, and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in project management and collaborative endeavors.
Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in science, engineering, humanities, or technical writing.
Five years of full-time grant writing experience.
Demonstrated ability to understand and synthesize faculty research.
Demonstrated experience developing, delivering, and evaluating trainings and workshops for professionals.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Research Development, the Grant Writer Generalist will support sponsored research initiatives by co-writing and developing grant proposals for academic researchers across campus. This role will focus on collaboration with academic researchers in all fields to support their work and produce high-quality, competitive proposals. They will also develop and implement training for researchers in grantsmanship. Other duties may include process development, data tracking, program administration, and similar responsibilities as assigned.
Job Duties
Co-write and co-develop proposals for funding to be submitted to private and public sponsors.
Create and implement workshops and trainings in grantsmanship.
Collaborate with campus stakeholders who support the research enterprise.
Other duties as assigned.
Additional Information to Applicants
This position supports academic researchers and does not conduct independent research.
This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
This position is eligible for 50% remote work after an initial training period.
