The seasonal team photographer for the Seattle Storm will capture key moments during game days, including player arrivals, marketing activations, and game action, while also providing non-game day coverage as needed. The role requires using in-camera FTP for live image delivery and managing metadata to expand the team’s photo archive. Candidates must have their own equipment, strong communication skills, and preferably experience in photo editing and working in athletics. *Open to different employee statuses. Ideal candidate is 1099 independent contractor with LLC. *Please submit a portfolio with your application. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Capture game day photography needs for Seattle Storm marketing team including but not limited to player arrivals, marketing activations, in-game entertainment, VIP guests, game action, and more. Some non-game day coverage as assigned. Experience using in-camera FTP for live image delivery. Experience using metadata to help expand Seattle Storm photo archive. Additional Responsibilities Work all Storm home games (played at Climate Pledge Arena). Requirements The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree in Photography or a related field;
or
equivalent work experience. Related Experience:
1-2 years of experience in a related position with proven success. Required Competencies:
Ability to work long or unpredictable hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must have own camera and equipment. Above average communication skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization. Outgoing and reliable. Ability to work in a team environment. Attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills. Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment. Prior experience in professional or collegiate athletics. Technical Skills:
Prior photo editing (Lightroom) and archiving experience preferred. Proficiency in metadata tagging. Experience using in-camera FTP for live image delivery. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The employee is regularly required to sit and stand for long periods of time.
