Overview
Develop multivariable statistical pricing models, consumer price elasticity analyses, and measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies and promotions. Incorporate competitive pricing data into decision criteria to identify pricing gaps and opportunities; perform comparisons to industry/company benchmarks. Insure consistent pricing strategy, structure, trade rates and price points.
Research and maintain market knowledge to be aware of cost driver fluctuations and competitive movements affecting pricing. Review abnormal margins to ensure their accuracy and process pricing corrections as needed.
Work cross-functionally with internal customers in Marketing, Sales, Finance and Insights to provide guidance and alignment on pricing strategies, new products, and promotional activities.
Accurately produce pricing reports on a routine basis, as well as completing frequent ad hoc analyses.
Develop post promotional frameworks and machine learning algorithms to better predict consumer response to promotional vehicles. Create a promotional mix model to optimize promotional spend across offer types, product categories and retailers.
Suggest and implement enhancements to existing pricing processes and systems.
