The Manager, Sponsorship Marketing Sales will drive revenue to the Marketing organization through strategic sponsorships between us and ecosystem partners. Sponsorships will run across our marketing portfolio of offerings, including but not limited to in-person and digital events, content, media, and more. The Manager will work closely with the Sponsorship Marketing team, and cross-functionally with appropriate internal stakeholders to create, sell, negotiate, close, and execute world-class sponsorships that will further position Salesforce as a leader in the industry.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Represent us as a global software, cultural and thought-leading brand to create high-impact ways for our ecosystem partners to activate with usWork cross-functionally with Strategic Events, Salesforce Studios, and executive sponsors to understand client needs, objectives, etc.Own sales process from prospecting to deal close, building and maintaining deep, long-lasting relationships with key sponsor decision-makers & executives to drive ongoing value through upsells and renewalsDevelop sales material narrative, pitch to client decision makers, structure deals, negotiate deal terms, close and work with legal to execute contractsProject manage the delivery of all elements of your sold sponsorships in collaboration with the execution arm of the Sponsorship Marketing team and from time to time on complete programs from an execution standpointLeverage established rate cards and asset valuations to structure, price, successfully negotiate, and close deals that will help meet or exceed revenue and key account goalsIdeate, build and package 360-degree solution-based sponsorships based on a client's needs, objectives & feedback in collaboration with the strategy teamWork with the strategy team to create and deliver sponsorship recap/proof of performance presentations and measurement reportsOccasional travel to support onsite execution and best-of-class partner experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
4-6+ years relevant work experience (sponsorship sales, account management, project management, or similar field)Self-motivated individual capable of working in a face-paced, start-up environmentProven experience effectively working with teams across multiple departments, time zones, and functionsExtreme attention to detail and project management experienceWorking knowledge of the Salesforce partner ecosystemExperience with Sales Cloud a plusDemonstrated ability to present to leadership and overall strong presentation building skillsDemonstrated ability to build consensus across diverse teamsDynamic, confident personality that thrives on a winning teamShining track record of success in a fast-paced, sometimes frenetic environmentCan-do, positive, inspiring attitudeOutside the box, innovative and creative thinkerAbility to develop and maintain external relationships with c-level executivesAbility to manage and organize significant pipeline and report on progress to leadership
