The Ann Savannah, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy will be joining Sage’s growing portfolio of lifestyle properties as it completes its conversion to an Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy concept by early 2025. This is a unique opportunity to shape the creation of one of the first Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy properties in North America!

Job Overview
We are seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing candidate with a strong involvement in the Savannah or similar market, who is passionate about creating lasting partnerships and building a robust customer base. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of engaging with local communities, fostering meaningful relationships, and driving customer loyalty through innovative and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
New Account Development: Captures competitor's accounts through networking, research and reader board surveys to target and solicit those most probable to generate new business.
Direct Sales: Targets appointment-oriented sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program, in accordance with goals established by department budget and marketing plan.
Key Account Management: Maximizes current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer revenue growth.
Plans and implements an on-going Targeted Account Development "hit list" to create new revenue and acquire valuable hotel contacts, and contracts.
Achieves a minimum of 90% of productivity goals and 100% of activity goals, as established by management.
Leads direct reports in a manner that achieves the properties sales goals and holds them accountable to their essential duties and responsibilities.
Plan and implement ecommerce and internet marketing strategies.
Promote the story of the brand and the hotel in the market, with the goal of increasing overall profitability of the property.
Adjust the sales plan according to changes in business and marketing trends.
Maintain a current working knowledge of the competition and demonstrate a working knowledge of all hotel operation.
Yield Management: Utilizes yield management techniques by profitably negotiating room rates and function space commitments.
Account Service and Management: Maintains well-documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management system.
Develops strong customer relations through frequent communication.
Product Knowledge: Conducts research, surveys, personal investigation and studies marketplace and territory.
Time Management: Focuses on revenue-producing activity and maximizes selling time.
Professionalism: Represents themselves, the hotel and Sage Hospitality Resources, Inc. with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications
Education/Formal Training
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
4+ years of hotel sales management experience
Savannah or similar market experience
Pre-Opening or Transition experience
Marketing Experience
Direct Sales Experience
Marriott Experience is ideal but not required
Extended Stay experience ideal but not required
Knowledge/Skills
Requires knowledge of general sales techniques, yield management, and customer service skills.
Ability to Travel
Requires effective business writing skills.
Organized.
Set and manage priorities and plan activities in advance.
Physical Demands
Sitting 85%, Walking 5%, Standing 5%, bending, kneeling, lifting, climbing 5%

Office environment, weather exposure when making sales calls
