This Marketing Intern will work on-site in our Mason, Ohio office.Myriad Genetics discovers, develops, and commercializes molecular genetic tests that determine the risk of developing disease, assess disease progression, and guide treatment decisions in Oncology, Women's Health, and Mental Health. The GeneSight marketing co-op/intern will help execute our clinician and patient marketing strategies to grow GeneSight brand awareness, ordering, loyalty, and brand advocacy. This position will have the opportunity to complete tangible project deliverables over the course of the semester and interact with a broad set of business unit stakeholders which may include teams such as Inside and Outside Sales, Medical Affairs, Customer Service, Commercial Operations (Salesforce & Marketing Cloud) and Sales Training.Our ideal candidate brings passion for the pillars of our culture: collaborative, innovative, inclusive, caring, and committed. At Myriad Genetics, our future is yours to create.RESPONSIBILITIES:Support promotional activities including but not limited to designing and copywriting for collateral, ads, emails, and internal communicationsAssist with management of marketing claims database and content approval through medical, legal, and compliance reviewWork in partnership with the sales team to develop materials that support the needs of the outside and inside sales channelsProvide input to and help execute marketing plans as neededAssist with daily administrative duties that are designed to provide exposure to the following learning objectives:Understand the fundamentals of marketing in the healthcare industryGain experience in campaign design including creative, messaging, and executionLearn about key marketing KPIs and how to use them to optimize campaignsGain first-hand experience in common content and project management applications, including Smartsheet, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and others
Manage timelines and proper execution of ideas within fast-paced, dynamic environment
QUALIFICATIONS:The successful candidate will possess the following:Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, preferably in MarketingRelevant experience or coursework in the following: marketing strategy, product management, brand management, project management, sales, digital marketingAbility to manage projects of varying complexity with strong execution and organizationAbility to learn concepts and tasks quickly and accurately, not hesitating to ask for assistance when neededExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to converse effectively and regularly with various levels of managementProficient with Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Junior or above status3.0 minimum GPAPrevious internship or co-op experience with marketing team or agency
SCHEDULE:40 hours per week during the scheduled semesterIn-person; although there may be some flexibility depending on projects
