Graphic Designer (Print Production).The Graphic Designer is responsible for following through on all customer graphics orders, creating best-in-class design and artwork files. In addition to effective conceptualization abilities, strong design skills, and technical expertise, the ideal candidate will be experienced in print production, have an excellent eye for detail and consistency, and be comfortable creating packaging design. The Graphic Designer will be proud to take a project and own it, knowing when to ask for input from the team or elevate issues that arise.We prefer candidates who are located within a commutable distance to one of our 6 locations (Cleveland-OH, Greater New York-NY, Fitchburg-MA, Richmond-VA, Tulsa-OK).If you have demonstrated strengths in printing graphics design, we would like to meet you!Responsibilities
Reviews new design requests as received.Conceptualizing and presenting innovative concepts to meet customers' brand-messaging objectives, experience, and story.Focus on instruction guides that effectively communicate product assembly and operation.Acts as a technical resource for the department and provides in-depth expert knowledge.Maintains equipment and tracks inventory.Update and maintain product catalog.Production of support material such as Mailers, Flyers, Banners of website, and Hero images for emails.Participate in other marketing functions as needed.Qualifications
Degree in visual communication, graphic design, or a related field.3-4 years of experience in graphic design in the print industry.Skilled in copyediting/proofreading.Mastery of various software design programs including Adobe-based platforms (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) for both Mac and PC.Creative problem solver, with the ability to think through design challenges from a consumer perspective.Proven ability to create complex layouts, infographics, and/or way-finding solutions.Curious nature, with the ability to seek information and answers from cross-functional partners.Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).Comprehensive knowledge of, and experience with, production requirements and printing.Ability to build production-ready documents and preflight final files as required.Ability to multitask.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Oliver Inc.
