The primary purpose of the position is to serve as a statewide social and digital media development and coordination specialist for public awareness and education for the DOH’s Pandemic Response Expansion Project (PREP). The position actively participates in the assessment and enhancement of the department’s education and awareness initiatives, which includes developing, implementing and evaluating state-and federal-funded COVID-19 related programs and activities throughout the state.
EDUCATION:
Graduation from a four (4) year accredited college or university with a baccalaureate degree. A master’s in public health, public administration and planning, business administration, or any of the health or social sciences is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
One and one half (1 ½) years of progressively responsible professional work experience which required a high degree of analytical skills. Such experience must have involved gathering, evaluating and analyzing facts and other pertinent information required to resolve problems and/or to determine and recommend appropriate courses of action. Knowledge of digital media editing software, strong visual and written communications skills, and an ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines preferred.
LICENSE:
Valid State of Hawaii Class 3 driver’s license is preferred.
