The primary focus for the Sr. Manager, Upstream Marketing is ownership of the product pipeline of given disease state(s) in development and improvements to existing products. This ownership includes product development efforts, including but not limited to market analysis, LMR planning, Launch Planning, VOC codification, and field team interaction/feedback organization. In addition, the Upstream Senior Marketing Manager drives strategies for LimFlow & CLTI product portfolio throughcollaboration with the cross-functional product & leadership team. This position must be able to communicate with all areas of the company and will interact regularly with R&D, QA/RA, Clinical, Marketing, Sales, Customers, and Senior Leadership.
ResponsibilitiesFull ownership of the clinical and commercial excellence of their assigned disease states product lineEnsure that key commercial objectives exceed the goals for the assigned product lineDrive commercial inputs for product development and implement strategies to optimize input from HCPs and sales teamAnalyze and report regularly on product performance via highly data driven metricsFormulate new strategies for optimization of product pipeline/design managementActively communicate on and codify device procedure improvements and techniques that lead to optimized patient outcomesCollaborate with training team to enhance product training and capture any device or procedural improvementsRoutinely communicate with the sales force regarding product updates and availability, competitive activity, sales positioning, best practicesWork closely with key opinion leaders to maximize their participation in launch activitiesOrganize business plans to determine how new products will fit into sales portfolioLead the organization and execution of LMRs to give actionable data to the organization and recommendations based on resultsAnalyze potential new markets and products to determine value of pursing developing solutions to unmet needs in adjacent disease statesMaintain current knowledge of relevant literature and competitive landscapeMentor, manage, and grow small team of direct reports to manage disease state pipelineQualifications
Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, biological/clinical science, or engineeringExcellent communication and presentation skillsMust have a good understanding of the medical environment to effectively respond to market concerns and provide technical support for productsAble to convert product/customer feedback into valuable insights that can help drive the development of new marketing programsAbility to competently represent the Company at professional functions and customer meetingsExcellent advocacy and persuasive skillsProficient software skills across all standard programs; Salesforce.com experience a plusMust be able to work independently with minimal directionA healthy disdain for the status quo, and a willingness to question existing practices to identify better alternativesAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible enough to change priorities with short notice when necessaryAbility to succeed in a rapidly changing, agile environment where continuous innovation is requisite to successAbility to plan and manage at both strategic and tactical levelsStrong project management and organizational skillsAbility to succeed and be effective in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentStrong understanding of product development processExperience in leading teams/management of direct reportsPreferred
MBA a plus, with a minimum of three (3) years of medical device/medical products marketing experience (upstream preferred)
Inari Medical offers competitive health and wealth benefits for our employees. The base pay range for this position is $155,000 - $195,000. A range of factors, including location, skills, and experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
