About The Role
The WATCHMAN Upstream Product Manager will be responsible for driving New Product Development for the WATCHMAN Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) therapy as well as commercial/technological solutions related to imaging before, during or after the procedure. The Upstream Product Manager will represent the broader development team when interacting with physicians at Advisory Boards, Innovation Center visits, animal labs, tradeshows, and other KOL meetings. The Product Manager will need to identify and prioritize amongst numerous topics for physician feedback and utilize those meetings to gather key feedback to best inform the Franchise on development activities.
This is a hybrid work mode based out of our Maple Grove, MN facility with the expectation of being on-site 2-3 days per week.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Developing marketing and strategy input to for WATCHMAN product cadence over next five+ years.Creation and implementation of global product and clinical strategies designed to support LAAC market growth and WATCHMAN’s competitive advantage within that marketSupport imaging strategy based on knowledge of contemporary and future trends in LAAC imagingIdentification of non-product strategies (e.g. clinical studies, digital solutions) to support product pipelineDefining and executing market research efforts to gather and synthesize both internal and external VOCLeading WATCHMAN market research efforts, including the creation, execution, readout, and recommended next steps from key customer insightsCollaborating with marketing team and cross-functional team members to ensure future development plans will deliver overall revenue and profit objectivesBuilding business case for future product portfolio and new market opportunitiesCreating collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including focus on KOLs, cliniciansAnticipating competitive activities, monitor competitive pipelines, and be strategically respond to competitive initiatives via product iterations and/or marketing campaigns
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree5+ years of successful related professional experienceMedical device experienceKOL engagement experienceWilling to travel up to 30%, including domestic and international
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced education, such as MBA3+ years prior Product Management experience, including strategic commercializationAbility to work effectively in a team-based environment and partner with internal/external stakeholdersAbility to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationshipsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to mobilize key stakeholders and engage leadership
