Marketing Manager Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts for our resort property. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing the ownership's marketing strategy, managing the brand across various channels, and ensuring the successful implementation of digital marketing initiatives.
Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000 plus bonus eligibility

Key Responsibilities:
Team Management and Leadership:
• Provide guidance, oversight, and collaboration for the marketing team to ensure goals are met
• When needed recruit, onboard, and manage team members across marketing functions
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting professional development and skill enhancement
• Attend leadership and sales meetings, actively contributing to cross-functional collaboration
• As needed, periodically work with regional marketing teams to share proven marketing tactics and optimization strategies that have driven success at the property. Collaborate on developing and executing regional campaigns and initiatives to drive broader brand awareness and engagement across properties.
Brand Management and Content Creation:
• Lead the management and development of the ownership's brand across all marketing channels
• Collaborate with the Content Coordinator to oversee the creation and execution of compelling content from conceptualization to completion
• Ensure engaging, high-quality content is delivered regularly across various channels, including email, newsletters, website, and social media
• Manage professional photography, video and photo shoots, and deliverables, including staging scenes, supporting models, and
Campaign and Project Management:
• Manage marketing campaigns and projects across channels including paid, social, email, and content marketing
• Monitor campaign performance, optimize as needed, and prepare accurate reports on overall performance
Digital Marketing and Website Management:
• Manage the digital marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
• Implement and monitor digital campaigns, striving to achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Oversee website updates, optimization, SEO audits, and implementation of best practices
Social Media Oversight:
• Develop and oversee organic social media strategy across platforms
• Ensure regular community engagement and management of brand presence
• Achieve organic social media metrics for growth
Strategic Development and Performance Monitoring:
• Participate in the development of the annual and monthly marketing strategy aligned with ownership objectives
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
• Generate insightful reports to provide key stakeholders with actionable insights
Market Research, Analysis, and Demand Generation:
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
• Analyze consumer behavior and market data to inform marketing strategies and campaigns
• Collaborate with hotel teams and local businesses for exclusive partnerships, flash sales, and loyalty programs to generate demand
Event Planning and Execution:
• Plan and organize the team to execute marketing events, industry events, and promotional activities to enhance brand exposure
• Coordinate logistics, budget, and ensure successful event outcomes across the team
Communication and Collaboration:
• Implement effective internal communications to ensure leadership and their teams are informed about marketing objectives and promotions
• Collaborate with the People Culture team to create effective communication strategies for recruitment and retention
• Act as the on-site contact for the PR agency, marketing vendors, and marketing inquiries, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Work Schedule and Expectations:
• This is a full-time, exempt position requiring approximately 50 hours per week to perform the job duties successfully. As a leadership role in the hospitality industry, the Marketing Manager must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings,
weekends, and holidays as needed to meet the demands of the position and to ensure the smooth operation of the resort's marketing efforts.
• In accordance with California labor laws, this exempt position is not eligible for overtime compensation. However, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The successful candidate must have a firm understanding of reporting key marketing metrics, marketing efforts, and content creation, with an emphasis on copy for social media, website, various marketing channels, and print. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential for this role.
