This position is a key role within Global Brand Creative, based in Portland, Oregon.You know and love Nike and are fluent in the Nike design language. You are an experienced creative leader, obsessed with the craft and application of your skills. Fantastic taste as well as an understanding of clear, connected digital experiences is a must. You are inspired by innovative creative thinking and the power of design to amplify the role of sport in the world.This role will focus on platform-right storytelling and innovation, driven by brand or business priorities (often both!). Leading a team of designers and collaborating directly with other creative teams, writers, strategists and producers from inside and outside Nike. You are comfortable working with external agencies as part of the extended team. You enjoy presenting your ideas to creative leadership and marketing partners and welcome constructive feedback and direction.You love seeing your work applied to multiple touchpoints and tuned for specific audiences. You are motivated to produce work on a large scale but also able to work with a pilot and/or test and learn approach.You lead by example when required and consistently lead your team through your creative process and guiding their work. You are committed to a healthy, connected team culture and with other cross functional squads. You value communication, collaboration, varied perspectives and believe in guiding and growing talent.What you will work on
You will craft and connect intuitive and premium digitally focused creative. Your work will elevate Nike storytelling centered on our athletes, products and services. At times, your work will be connected to larger brand themes and at other times, will be independent ideas with specific business and brand goals.Who you will work with
You will work very closely with CDS Creative Directors and team of designers, writers, producers and operations experts. Connectivity with marketing partners and digital product partners is crucial; regular collaboration with other internal (global, geo and city) and external creative teams.What you bring
10+ years of agency, In-house or start-up digital creative experience and storytellingBachelor or Master’s degree in Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceDeep knowledge and never ending curiosity towards digital trends, social platforms, innovation and technologyPassion for creative ideas, world class execution and seamless digital experiencesCommitment to talent growthSense of humor and positive spirit!Comfort and ability to collaborate with both internal and external creative teamsA love for the creative process, including giving and receiving constructive feedbackOutstanding visual background in typography, composition, motion, branding and user-centered design principlesDeep understanding of Figma, Sketch, Keynote and Adobe CCKnowledge in After Effects, Premiere and other motion editing software a plusNIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
