This opportunity is in the Human Resources Department.
The Human Resources department is responsible for key areas typically associated with HR, such as talent acquisition, learning and development, payroll, employment law compliance, and performance management. Role Description:
In the role of Instructional Designer (internally known as, Instructional Designer), you will be responsible for designing and developing instructional materials and experiences by analyzing learning needs, designing curriculum, creating content that helps employees grow and develop. You will work in partnership with key stakeholders to implement innovative, efficient, and cost-effective training plans.
Your day-to-day responsibilities as an Instructional Designer will include:
Develop professional development materials such as eLearning, quick reference guides, participant guides and instructor guides
Apply adult learning theories to create visual, audio and interactive learning tools in the development of e-Learning modules and courses
Design customized content to optimize the learning experience
Utilize and apply instructional design models, ADDIE preferred

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Management, Organizational Studies, or other relevant discipline such Psychology or Business Administration preferred
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of Corporate experience working in instructional design
Ability to work independently and interact effectively with employees, managers and executives at all organizational levels
Ability to handle information in a manner which protects confidentiality
Ability to prioritize projects and demonstrate organizational proficiency
Content design and storyboarding experience
Alignment with Safety National Core Values, and demonstrated commitment to inclusion
Physical requirements include:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
Work in the St. Louis, MO office at least three days per week with the option to work remotely up to two days per week
Preferred Qualifications:
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based instructional design systems. Articulate experience preferred
Intermediate proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) experience
Experience with Instructional Accessibility
Ability to manage a high volume workload and multiple projects simultaneously

In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target salary range for this position is $65,000 to $101,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
