Strategic Communications and Engagement
We are looking for a skilled individual to play a crucial role in enhancing the online presence of the District. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the strategic development and maintenance of our internet and intranet sites, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal user experience.
Job Duties Include:Creates new pages or additions to existing District internal and external websites through coding or through a content management system, including the reformatting of text, the creation of graphics, slideshows, editing photographs, video, and similar elements to enhance the look of pages. Maintains style content for all websites managed by the District per District style, working with other District staff as necessary to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.Key responsibilities:
Oversee the website structure, interface, and proper functionality across the District's six online platforms.Utilize your expertise in WordPress, html code, WordPress themes, and plugins to create innovative and visually appealing websites.Implement and analyze Google Analytics data along with associated software and plugins to enhance website performance.Demonstrate proficiency in SEO monitoring tools like Yoast and Semrush to optimize web content and improve search engine rankings.Evaluate web traffic, plan, and execute projects to increase web traffic and enhance SEO rankings.Collaborate with the team to build and maintain effective, informative websites as powerful outreach tools.Preferred qualifications:
Proficient in time management, ensuring timely delivery of projects with great attention to detail.Ability to work independently while meeting both shared and individual deadlines.Knowledge of ADA website requirements to ensure compliance.Familiarity with ArcGIS to create compelling Story Maps.Proven ability to identify and address potential technical issues collaboratively with other team members.

Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the computer sciences or in management of information systems and one year of experience in maintaining a company or agency’s website to include knowledge of image editing software (e.g., Photoshop), graphics software (e.g.,Illustrator), Microsoft Office software, Adobe Acrobat Pro, HTML, JavaScript, php, and Java languages, SharePoint, and web content management systems. Experience in setting up and managing a content management system is also helpful.
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the computer sciences or management of information systems can substitute for one year of the required experience.
Professional experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

Additional Details:
Starting Salary Range: $58,344.00 - $72,924.80
Starting salary is based on qualifications and experience.
