Heretto, a leader in content management solutions, is seeking a skilled Content Conversion Manager / Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in assisting our customers in transitioning their content into DITA XML format for seamless integration with the Heretto CCMS. Role Purpose:
The Content Conversion Manager will spearhead the evaluation and transformation of client content to ensure its optimal use within our Content Component Management System (CCMS). This role involves direct interaction with clients to assess their needs, planning of content conversion processes, and execution of both fully automated and semi-automated conversions.
Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement: Understand and analyze customer requirements and existing content to tailor content conversion strategies effectivelyContent Preparation and Cleanup: Perform thorough content audits, cleanup, and preparation to ensure compatibility with DITA XML standards.Conversion Execution: Manage and execute both automated and semi-manual content conversionsQuality Assurance: Develop processes to guarantee the quality of converted content, ensuring it meets client expectations and Heretto standards.Project Management: Ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of projects, maintaining clear and proactive communication with all stakeholders.Process Optimization: Continuously seek to improve the conversion processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Communicate with product and engineering to improve tools used for automated conversionsIdeal Qualifications:
Experience in content management, technical writing, or a related field, experience with content conversion highly desirableProficient in DITA XML or similar structured content format and familiar with content component management systemsStrong project management skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams and clients.Experience in technical consulting or in a role involving client interaction.Knowledge of basic programming tools such as HTML, CSS, XSLT, and scripting languages
