Overview
The Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Director of Marketing to implement the marketing plan. The ideal candidate will assist in all areas of marketing, including graphic design, event management, driving social media platforms, creating content, photography, and community partnerships. This role requires a creative skill set to brainstorm new initiatives and drive results.
Principal Responsibilities
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the creation, preparation, coordination, collection, production, supervision, and follow-up of promotions and events.
Develop and maintain the website, newsletters, blogs, emails, collateral, social media content, photography, and campaigns.
Contribute to marketing and creative brainstorming initiatives.
Identify and propose internal/external ideas and initiatives to promote general awareness of the company brand and products.
Report on monthly initiatives and campaign/event results.
Manage brand ambassadors, donation requests, and the Cider Club.
Assist with Taproom/Sales programming and planning as necessary.
Handle a variety of detailed administrative tasks with minimal guidance.
Support administrative elements and approvals of events, including contracting, tracking, coordination, staffing, photography, proof of performance, and reporting.
Coordinate staff and logistics for outside account tastings and events as needed.
Maximize value from Portland Cider Company sponsorships by attending events, networking, finding potential collaborations, and coordinating sponsorship activation logistics.
Assist with the promotion and implementation of platform programs, branding, and product development in a professional and timely manner, while measuring results.
Minimum Qualifications
College degree preferred.
1-3 years of administrative office experience in a fast-paced environment.
Strong working knowledge of Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Effective verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills for interaction with customers, media, and co-workers.
Flexible and able to work well independently and as part of a team.
Creative and capable of developing new and original ideas in an artistic context.
Active involvement in promotion, event management/coordination, social media, photography, and graphic design.
