As the Vice President of Program Marketing for AARP Foundation, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to reduce poverty for older adults. Leads and manages a team responsible for performance marketing, connecting older adults with programs and volunteer opportunities. Develops and implements multi-channel, multicultural marketing campaigns and program strategies to achieve shared organizational goals. Collaborates closely with program teams to define target audiences and to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies. Assesses campaign results and uses data analytics to track performance and optimize marketing efforts. Ensures effective and efficient business operations within the department, fostering a culture of agility, action, and accountability. Partners with the Senior Vice President to provide thought partnership on strategy and priorities for AARP Foundation Marketing and Communications.
Responsibilities
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of enterprise-wide strategic goals, anticipating and addressing opportunities and issues as they arise.Develops marketing strategies and communications (internal and external) to support program strategy and department objectives.Oversees integrated marketing, communications, research and insights, and creative services functions to ensure activities support program growth.Sets marketing strategy and priorities within the department to optimize program support.Oversees integrated marketing programs and activities, taking program feedback into account, with a focus on opportunistic categories and innovative solutions to meet client needs.Oversees identification of media opportunities and development of talking points and serves as a lead point person on media interactions and the approach.Develop insights to marketing strategies in order to achieve business goals.Collaborates with program and operations leadership on short and long-term planning, based on internal capabilities and external market conditions. Reviews achievement of performance versus strategic plans and budget. Communicates results with senior management.Qualifications
Completion of Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred.15+ years of marketing experience; including 7+ years people management experience.Experience managing complex budgets across multiple program campaigns.Experience in traditional, multicultural, and digital marketing (SEO, paid search, social, and email).Ability to track analytics, end-to-end customer journeys.Experience in project management.Ability to continually evaluate and incorporate consumer experience into marketing campaigns.Training and experience in platforms: Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and CMS preferred.AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time.

Hybrid Work Environment
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
