Overview
Besides direct health education programming for classrooms, we also create curricula, video content, and other media for use by partner organizations. Therefore, McMillen Health seeks a Director of Curricula and Creative Services who will be responsible for the research, development, communication, evaluation, training, design, and video production associated with curricula developed and designed by McMillen Health for 3rd party organizations across the nation.
The Director of Curricula and Creative Services will communicate regularly with health experts in the given field of research. This position is responsible for directly managing and overseeing the Creative Services Manager who supervises the:
· Curriculum Developers (1-2)
· Graphic Designers (1-2)
· Media Specialists (2)
This position is responsible for overseeing all curricula and projects developed by the Creative Services Department. This is a full time, 12-month salaried position and reports directly to the Director of Operations and Sustainability.
Responsibilities
· Develop low-literacy curriculum, collaboratively with the Curriculum Developers, by reviewing literature from credible sources, distilling appropriate information, planning, implementation, and evaluation of said curriculum in a timely manner
Plan, coordinate, review, and oversee all 3rd party curriculum projects developed by the Creative Services department including:
· Low-literacy curriculum for organizations across the nation who contract with McMillen Health
· Script development for all videos created to correlate with curriculum being developed
· Design of curriculum, handouts, videos, resources, and assessments for the purpose of implementing a standards-based instructional curriculum
Analyze data for the purpose of improving instructional programs
Communicate with local and state organizations for the purpose of implementing and maintaining a standards-based curriculum
Develop and Manage Professional Advisory Groups (PAGs) and End User Groups (EUGs) for each curriculum project
Maintains and develops relationships with outside organizations
Prepare requested reports, presentations, and training for all curriculum and Creative Services projects
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and Sustainability and CEO

Qualifications
· At minimum: Masters in Anthropology, Curriculum Design and Development, Public Health Education, Education, Health, or related field
· Three or more years in management including project management
· Three or more years experience in program/curriculum development
· Three or more years experience in evaluation and research
· Three or more years of experience working with low literacy populations
· Working knowledge and experience in the following computer applications: Word, Excel or Database applications, and PowerPoint
· Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Physical Demands:
Physical demands include walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and moderate lifting. Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Specific vision abilities include the capability of viewing computer monitors for extended periods of time. Lift and move heavy items, such as boxes containing books and other materials (up to 30 lbs). Requires hearing within the normal range for telephone use.
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.

Compensation Package includes:
· Salary: $60,000-$70,000 annually
· Paid Time Off (PTO): 3 weeks annually, with the ability to roll over ½ to the next fiscal year
· 3% Retirement Match into 403(b) Plan after 1 year of service
· Paid Parental Leave after 1 year of service
· Twenty-four (24) days of paid holidays per year
